LG won 76-74 in the home game against Wonju DB in the 5th round of the ‘2022-2023 SKT A-Dot Professional Basketball’ held at the Changwon Gymnasium at 7:00 pm on the 3rd. Yoon Won-sang (18 points), who made 5 3-pointers, Kim Jun-il안전놀이터 (17 points, 5 rebounds), Asem Marey (15 points, 17 rebounds), and Lee Jae-do (10 points, 7 assists) helped the team win.

On the other hand, DB, who had been running 4 consecutive wins, lost on the day and the rise slowed down. With 16 wins and 21 losses, it fell to 7th place in a tie with Suwon KT. 

Led by coach Jo Sang-hyun, LG started with Lee Jae-do, Jung Hee-jae, Yun Won-sang, Jeong In-deok, and Asem Marey. Kim Hyun-ho, Lee Seon Albano, Leonard Freeman, Kang Sang-jae, and Choi Seung-wook faced off as DB for acting coach Kim Joo-seong. 

The first half was tight for both teams. DB, with Kang Sang-jae and Choi Seung-wook at the center, dominated the first quarter 24-11. Then, with the heights of Kim Jun-il and Marey at the forefront, LG quickly balanced the score to 36-36. LG succeeded in reducing the gap that once widened to 17 points. 

LG, which was on the rise, overturned the score of Gearco in the 3rd quarter. After Marey’s come-from-behind goal, LG regained the lead with Kang Sang-jae’s continuous shooting. However, after Lee Jae-do’s consecutive shots, Yun Won-sang’s three-pointer opened the score gap to 48-44. After that, as Yoon Won-sang continued to play, LG outperformed DB by 59-54. 

However, with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Freeman’s free throw turned the DB back to 74-73. Afterwards, Lee Jae-do’s reverse gun came out, and LG again took the lead and solidified its victory. DB tried to turn around until the last minute, but in the end they couldn’t turn the game around. 

In DB, Albano (19 points, 5 assists) and Kang Sang-jae (17 points) scored double digits, but Kim Jong-gyu (6 points), Lenard Freeman (7 points, 9 rebounds), and Choi Seung-wook (8 points, 5 rebounds) fell short of expectations. .
