Wu Yibing becomes the first Chinese player to advance to the ATP Tour finals…

Wu Yibing (#97 in the world) became the first Chinese player to advance to the ATP Tour finals. 

Wu Yi-bing defeated top seed Taylor Fritz (USA, 8th) 6-7(3) 7-5 6-4 in the semifinals of the US Dallas Open (ATP 250) on the 12th (Korean time). With this, Wu Yibing enjoyed the splendid feat of advancing to the ATP 안전놀이터Tour finals for the first time as a Chinese player. 

At last year’s US Open, Wu Yibing became the first Chinese player to win a major tournament in 63 years and finished runner-up at the Seoul Open Challenger. Wuyi Bing succeeded in entering the top 100 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his life by finishing runner-up at the Cleveland Challenger tournament in the US this year.  

After the semi-finals, Wu Yi-bing said, “I didn’t think about the score or the win or loss. I’m trying to do my best. The fans here are really amazing.” 

Wu Yi-bing later faces John Isner (USA, 39th) in the final. Wu Yibing, who reached the final, is expected to climb to 76th in the ATP rankings next week. 

Meanwhile, in the French Montpellier Open (ATP 250) final held during the same period, Yannick Sinner (Italy, No. 17) and Maxime Cressy (USA, No. 51) face each other, and Argentina’s Cordoba Open (ATP 250) is Argentina’s Sebastian Baez (World No. 47). ) and Federico Korea (ranked 67th in the world) will face off for the championship.
