Shaky Seongnam special…first home win in 104 days after stopping Valdivia

Crisis-ridden Seongnam FC must catch the Jeonnam Dragons at all costs. They’re running out of fingers.

Seongnam will host Jeonnam in the 24th round of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 at Tancheon Sports Complex. Seongnam is in ninth place with 26 points (6 wins, 8 draws, and 8 losses), while Jeonnam is in seventh place with 31 points (9 wins, 4 draws, and 8 losses).

Seongnam is in a very bad mood. They have only one win in their last six games and two if you expand the range to 10 games. In their last match, they suffered a 2-3 loss to Cheonan City FC, who had gone 21 games without a win. After the humiliating defeat, the mood in Seongnam worsened. Their offense is better, but their midfield and defense are shaky due to fitness issues. They are conceding goals whenever it matters and losing points.

We need to win against Jeonnam. It will give us hope that we can rebound in the second half of the season. The home fans also need a win. Seongnam hasn’t won in over three months since their victory over Chunsan on April 16. In days, that’s 104 days. At the moment, Seongnam fans are more disappointed than excited. If they want to win back support, they need to take on Jeonnam.

They can count on Gabriel and Jin Sung-wook. Side by side, the two strikers joined the team this summer and have been a huge boost to the Seongnam offense. Gabriel’s ability to move between the front and the second line has helped to lubricate Seongnam’s offense, and he’s been able to quickly rack up attacking points. Jin Sung-wook added weight to the front line and was the solution to coach Lee Ki-hyung’s problems after Lee Jong-ho’s injury and Chris’ decline in scoring. These are the two strikers I’m most excited to see against Jeonnam. They’ll need to perform.

Jeonnam is the Suwon FC of the K League 2. Like Suwon FC, their offense is one of the best in the league, but they concede a lot of goals. With 34 goals, they are fourth in K League 2 in scoring, but with 35 goals conceded, they are third in conceded goals. This is why they haven’t moved up to the top despite having the best offense. Recently, the team has won two consecutive games in a row to set the tone. Valdivia is the main reason for Jeonnam’s rise.바카라

It’s no exaggeration to call him the best striker in K League 2. With 11 goals and seven assists for 19 offensive points, Valdivia has been named Man of the Match eight times and Best Eleven seven times. Together with Gleison (Gyeongnam FC), he is first in goals, second in assists, and first in offensive points. He also leads the league in man-of-the-match and best-of-the-round selections. He is truly dominating K League 2.

Valdivia’s performance will likely determine the outcome of the game. If Seongnam can control Valdivia, they’ll have a better chance of winning, and if Jeonnam can bring out the best in Valdivia once again, they’ll be able to make it three wins in a row.
