‘Rich man’ who lost face EPL, 4 teams won the first leg of the round of 16 ‘nothing’

The English Premier League teams, who spend the most money in Europe, lost face in the War of the Stars.

In the first leg of the round of 16 of the 2022-2023 European Football Federation (UEFA) Champions League over the past week, all four Premier League teams failed to win.

Tottenham Hotspur lost 0-1 away to AC Milan안전놀이터, and Chelsea lost by the same scoreline away to Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool suffered a 2-5 defeat at home to Real Madrid. Manchester City drew 1-1 away from RB Leipzig. At least one team, Manchester City, has achieved satisfactory results, but the other three teams have to spend a rough second leg.

The Premier League is the most expensive league among the big leagues in Europe. According to data from Deloitte, a market research firm, 20 Premier League teams spent 815 million pounds (approximately 1.28 trillion won) in the transfer market last winter alone. It accounts for 79% of spending in Europe’s top five leagues. Spain’s La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, and Italy’s Serie A were greatly overwhelmed.

The Premier League is considered the most popular football league in the world. It is a stage where teams with high market value are lined up and star players are gathered. With astronomical broadcasting rights and sponsorships, the Premier League has now grown to a level where even mid-tier teams can boldly open their wallets.

This season, all four teams broke through the group stage and advanced to the round of 16, raising expectations, but the first leg performance was below expectations. In order to protect our pride, we need a reversal in the second game.
