If you look at the head of the camp, it looks like ‘Unit 1 USA, Team 2 Taiwan’ as before, but Kiwoom said that this camp was organized according to the type of training and the direction of the goal set.

First, the US spring camp focuses on improving skills based on basic training. Ahead of this season, we plan to check the condition of new players who have joined the team, and closely check the training process and growth potential of new and younger players. We plan to focus on preparing for the regular season by gradually improving the condition of the players.

On the other hand, the Taiwan spring camp focuses on actual combat. This is because it is easier to find opponents in the Taiwanese camp compared to the US. Kiwoom explained that the Taiwanese camp focused on improving the players’ sense of practice and skills by organizing more than 10 practice matches with the Taiwanese professional baseball team. Pitcher Choi Won-tae, infielder Song Seong-moon, and outfielders Lee Yong-kyu and Kim Jun-wan, who were the main players in the first team last season, chose to go to Taiwan to experience actual combat.
