Moon Jung-min (21, SBI Savings Bank) returned to the top of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Dream Tour (Division 2) after 798 days (2 years, 2 months, 6 days).
The 13th leg of the 2023 KLPGA Dream Tour was held on September 12-13 at the Woongjin (OUT) Sabi (IN) Course (Par 72-6590 yards) at Baekje Country Club in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, with a total prize pool of 70 million won.안전놀이터
Jung Min Moon earned KRW 10.5 million for winning the 13th edition of the KLPGA Dream Tour by defeating Sae Eun Kim (25, Ankang E&C) in a two-stroke playoff after finishing the regular round at 11-under par 133.
After her debut victory in the eighth round of the 2021 Muan CC-Olpoyu Dream Tour, Moon won her first Korean Women’s Professional Golf Tour title. She avenged her runner-up finishes at the 9th Gyochon 1991 Ladies Open on the Regular Tour (1st Division) in May and the ThreeH Dream Tour with Aegis Sky CC in July.
With her 13th victory, Moon moved up to fifth on the 2023 Dream Tour money list and ninth in scoring average. He is also ranked second in driving distance on the regular tour this year.
“I had physical difficulties this season because I was playing both the regular tour and the Dream Tour,” said Moon, who confessed, “but I’m happy that I’m a little closer to entering the 2024 Korean Women’s Professional Golf League.”
While her goal for 2023 was to win the Dream Tour and go straight to the KLPGA’s regular tour next season through the top 20 on the money list, Moon revealed her new ambition: to become the money winner in the second division and enter the U.S. stage after playing in the first division.
She also thanked her “parents, SBI Savings Bank and Magnex, who always help me a lot, and professional Kim Ki-joon, who helps me improve.”
The final round of the 13th edition of the 2023 Dream Tour, organized and hosted by the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT), will be broadcast live on SBS Golf on September 26 at 7 p.m. ET.
