Even on the last day, empty hands… Korea turned against the powerful enemy Lavarini, VNL ended with 24 consecutive losses

On the last day at home, Korea was unable to reap the ‘beauty of the end’. Leaves the coat empty-handed.

On the 2nd, in the final game of the 3rd week of the 2023 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Volleyball Nations League (VNL) held at Chilbo Gymnasium in Seosuwon, Poland defeated Korea with a set score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-16). Turned it up.

As a result, Korea won only 3 sets out of 12 matches. I set a goal of at least one win per parking lot, but it wasn’t easy. In the end, the final scorecard was all 12 matches. Including last year’s record, it is 24 consecutive losses. As a result, I couldn’t move forward even one step.

It is a national team that has been in the second year of a generational change since Kim Yeon-kyung and other veterans left. He mentions hope and growth in every game and looks at it again. There are definitely some areas that are better than last year. The veteran generation stepped back to the back line, and several young players such as Kim Da-eun and Lee Da-hyun proved their potential. But it is still in its infancy.

On the last day, South Korea started with Kim Da-eun, Lee Joo-ah, Kim Da-in, Lee Da-hyun, Jeong Ji-yoon, Kang So-hui, and Moon Jeong-won. The Polish starters were followed by Corneluc, Stysiak, Goreka, Cyrnianska, Rojanski, Noviczka, Yurczyk and Szczyglowska.

Da-eun Kim kicked off the game and Korea started with a goal. A close match unfolded with a tie to one point difference. Kim Da-eun’s two consecutive sub-aces shone properly. Kang So-hui also scored three serve points, leading Korea to a four-point lead.

Poland started pursuing from 15-18 after being shaken by a series of minor mistakes. With the score tied at 18-18, Poland entered the first 20 points. Korea also fought a close battle with Kim Da-eun. However, with Stysiak’s goal at the end, Poland narrowly won the first set 25-23.

However, the momentum raised earlier faded in the second set. The defense collapsed rapidly, the offense was blocked, and the score widened to 6-12. After Lee Da-hyun scored 1 point with a quick attack, Da-eun Kim’s diagonal attack brought another score.

However, it was helpless at the height of the vanguard of Poland, which was determined and running. Lee Joo-ah scored a serve following a quick attack, and Lee Da-hyun caught Dae-gak off guard. However, there was no turnaround. Park Jung-ah, who was put in, also failed to change the mood. Until the second set, Poland took the set score 25-18. 바카라

The blocking barrier erected by captain Cornelluk was too high. Korea’s early receiving, which gave away the first and second sets in a row, was shaken and fell behind. Afterwards, Lee Joo-ah’s moving attack, one-block scoring, and even the opponent’s error emerged, and they pursued until the score was tied 14-14. But it stopped there. Like the previous match against China, it stopped at 15 points and gave up 7 points. The game ended with Poland winning 25-16 until the end.

On the other hand, Korea ranked last at 16th out of 16 participating countries in this year’s VNL competition.
